Local endorsements
KFTC believes in an authentic democracy where everyone is included, voting is accessible, elections are fair, and elected leaders are responsive to folks in their communities. In 2010, we launched the New Power PAC as a vehicle to endorse candidates running for local, state, and federal office.
Over the past several months, grassroots leaders from across the state participated in an extensive, thoughtful, and deliberate democratic process that led them to recommend the endorsement of candidates in their local communities. Our ultimate goal is to support the election of candidates across the state who speak to our issues, vision, and values.
The New Power PAC has endorsed the following candidates in local races. We believe these leaders will show up with and for the folks in their communities.
Garrett Dean, Kentucky Senate District 37 (portion of Jefferson County)
Lamar Allen, Kentucky House District 56 ( Woodford County, portions Fayette & Franklin counties)
Martina Jackson, Kentucky House District 81 (portion of Madison County)

Kentucky’s primary election has been moved to June 23. Kentuckians have the option to vote by mail, and this will be the safest way to cast your ballot. The deadline to request a ballot is June 15, and ballots must be postmarked by June 23 to be counted.
